Reign 1825-1855. Coronation 3 Sep 1826 (NS), Moskva. The heir to the throne after Emperor
Aleksandr I Pavlovich was the Konstantin Pavlovich, the elder brother of Nikolai Pavlovich, who renounced
any rights to the succession in 1822. In the secret manifest of 28
August 1823 (NS) Aleksandr I re-adjusted the succession in favor of Nikolai
Pavlovich. |
