Conversion to the Orthodox faith in November 1894. Since 1905 intensely influenced by Monk Rasputin (1869-1916).
All seven members of the Imperial Family were executed in the Ipatiev House, Ekaterinburg. The remains of the Tsar and the Tsaritsa and three of their daughters were discovered in1991 and identified in 1998. The remaining two bodies (those of Tsarevich Aleksei and Maria/Anastasia) were discovered in 2007 and identified in 2009. |
