Tsarevitch of Russia 13 March 1881 (NS) after the assassination of Emperor Aleksandr II. Reign 1894-1917. Coronation 26 May 1896 (NS), Moskva. Abdicated 15/28 March 1917. All seven members of the Imperial Family were executed in the Ipatiev House, Ekaterinburg. The remains of the Tsar and the Tsaritsa and three of their daughters were discovered in1991 and identified in 1998. The remaining two bodies (those of Tsarevich Aleksei and Maria/Anastasia) were discovered in 2007 and identified in 2009.
