Biography Notes |
|
Conversion to the orthodox faith, October 1866. A small woman but a strong personality: Many historians agree that without the pressure from his mother Nikolai II wouldn't have ascended the throne in 1894.
It was her wish to be interred next to her beloved husband. Finally, after being buried in Roskilde Cathedral, she was interred next to her husband Aleksandr III Aleksandrovich in the Peter and Paul Cathedral in 2006. |
